April was a chaotically fun month. After my Japan trip last March, I hurriedly tried to work on our Korea trip itinerary since I only had less than three weeks to plan. Knowing myself, I'm a slow planner and hate doing things impromptu so those three weeks were stressful. Working on several things before the trip, I couldn't give much attention to the itinerary. Worrying about my monthly period added to my stress. I have an irregular monthly period schedule and I was already thinking about having my period during the trip.
My worry manifested because my monthly period decided to say hello on the first day of the trip. It was such a hassle. It was on-off the entire time and we didn't get to fully enjoy the 2nd to 6th day of our trip. We had to move around our plans because of cramps and dysmenorrhea. It also rained twice and we had to move around some plans again. Not to mention I was moody and a total killjoy because of my hormones. It wasn't the best trip we originally planned but we still managed to have fun and enjoy the weather. It was more laid back and we didn't have to rush our day. Every day was like a walking marathon hitting at least 20,000 steps daily. I exceeded my weekly exercise scores by 300% during that trip. It may also be my best score for the year. 😂
Korea may not be my go-to place for shopping but I truly enjoy our day stroll in wonderful places like Nami Island, Everland, and Namsan Tower. I enjoyed the walk not just because of the cool breeze but because there were so many beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs everywhere. It was a feast for the eyes. I was able to have a lot of Ichigo Ichie moments that I'll surely treasure for a long, long time.
April is a wonderful time to visit Korea. We spotted a few Cherry Blossom trees around Nami Island and saw so many beautiful flowers in full bloom around Everland. The weather is just fine; it was so much better than our last visit around February. It was too cold that we cannot stand to be outside for too long. March and April are my favorite times to visit. I cannot wait to visit again soon. 💕
