MARCH 2O24 RECAP

March has been a month of planning, organizing, and travel. It was a busy month for me. I completed business renewal (for our family business), planned the direction of my small online stationery shop, organized the activities and attractions for our Japan trip, and worked on another start-up business just to name a few.

This year, I've decided to highlight one memorable or special moment each month. I hope to consistently bring positivity to my months and I wanted to share some highlights through the monthly recap here on the blog. I did miss February though. I got so busy that I completely forgot. I'm a bit behind in posting my March recap and was overthinking whether or not I should still post but here I am posting it anyway.

The first two weeks of March were dedicated to planning our Osaka trip and working on administrative stuff for our family business. I also included a few planning sessions for my little stationery business from time to time. And did some research for our new start-up business. Luckily, I was able to finish everything before the much-anticipated trip.

The highlight of my month was our trip to Osaka, Japan. It was my first international trip this year and my first trip with my cousin just the two of us. I've been to Osaka multiple times and it's my favorite vacation place. Since it was my cousin's first time, I was in charge of all the booking and planning for our trip including the visa application. I spent a month planning and working on the Osaka Trip Guide. I'm thinking of sharing that trip guide template soon.

It was a short trip though. I regret only spending six days on the trip. If I could turn the back time, I would have scheduled it for eight days. There were so many places we weren't able to visit like Kyoto and Kobe. I will definitely plan my next trips better.

A day after we got back from Japan, I got sick for a couple of days. I caught colds and coughs on our fifth day after we got rained on. I was supposed to schedule a shop update for my stationery shop days after I arrived but my cough got worse and I didn't want to contaminate my products with germs and viruses so I postponed it for April. I wasn't able to work on my small stationery business for two weeks and the long holiday got me some time to relax and recover.

I also experienced a little burnout during the last week of March. I was anxious and wasn't in the mood for anything. I guess spending a lot of unproductive time made me feel that way. I'm slowly recovering and getting back to my usual pace but I still have days when I don't feel like doing anything. I hope to be back to my normal self soon so I can focus on all the shenanigans lined up this month.
