SEPTEMBER 2024 RECAP

Updated: Nov 5, 2024

After five months of blogging break, I'm finally back with another recap post. As much as I want to be consistent with my posting schedule, burnout sometimes gets the best of me. I have a long list of topics waiting in my drafts. Do you ever get that feeling when you have a lot of ideas pouring in but can't find the words to express them or write them down? That's me!

Unplanned Korea trip

The first week of September was quite a rush because our flight to Korea was in a week and I still had many things to do. I packed my stuff at the last minute and fortunately, I did not forget anything. We weren't planning to go on a trip since we just went to Korea last April but things happened so fast and the next thing we knew, we were booking a Korean tour with a local travel agency.

The package tour was reasonably priced. It was a short but packed trip. The itinerary was a mix of visits to Korea's famous tourist destinations and shopping. We couldn't squeeze in some of the things we wanted to do except for the free time in the Myeongdong area.

The weather was also a bit unpredictable. It was raining hard during our first two days. Luckily, my friend brought an umbrella and we still got to stroll around despite the rain. The last two days were sunny and we got to walk around more. We still used the umbrella because the sun was too strong and scorching.

I'll discuss more about my recent trip and my preference (DIY or Tour Package) in a separate blog.

I finally decorated my Notion board

Notion has become my best friend after I've learned to navigate its features. I felt intimidated by it the first time I used it but after countless videos and using the app regularly, I came to love it. It is my go-to app for daily schedules, goals, plans, my reviewer, and more.

I have seen a lot of beautiful Notion boards on Pinterest and I picked my favorite ones, created a mood board for my Notion, and voila! I now have a minimalist Notion board that I'm happy with. I might post my Notion board someday in a different post.

If you also want to explore Notion, try checking out The Organized Notebook on YouTube. I have learned a lot from her videos when I was exploring Notion.

Travel journaling

Regardless of where I go, I always look for stationery and sticker stores where I buy my souvenirs. During my trip to Korea last April, I was able to hoard a ton of cute stickers, small notebooks, and a couple of sticker organizers. This time, I wasn't able to do the same because we had a packed schedule and a limited time per schedule. I was able to grab a few stickers at the souvenir shops in Nami Island and N Seoul Tower.

I'm planning to start my travel journal sometime this month to document my travels for 2024. I still kept my cutouts, receipts, and some tags from my previous trips to Japan and Korea that I would like to include in my travel journal. I was reserving my new TN for next year but I'm too excited to open my new Travellers Notebook and fill it with lots of stickers and memories from previous trips.
